The Editor plays a key role in the Creative Center of Excellence (CCOE), Gartner s in-house creative agency. The role reports to the Manager, Editing and involves hands-on editing of multiple projects. The work includes editing, proofreading and fact-checking a variety of promotional materials, such as website updates, infographics, social posts, presentation decks and research reskins. The candidate s job is to have an eye for detail, satisfy internal client objectives, meet all deadlines, and deliver quality, accurate products while adhering to Gartner style guidelines.
What you will do:
Edit for a wide variety of projects, including website updates, infographics, social posts, presentation decks and research reskins.
Collaborate with key functions within the CCOE and business partners across the organization
Work closely with CCOE designers and the multimedia team to ensure copy, concepts, and visual design work together
Internalize the Gartner brand guidelines.
Work quickly and efficiently with designers, project managers and other teams, as needed, to complete projects
Keep commitments by delivering exceptional work on time
What you will need:
1-3 years relevant work experience with demonstrated success (agency or in-house experience preferred in IT, information services and/or professional services industry)
Experience with and willingness to learn new technologies
Basic understanding of marketing content strategies
Experience with brand editorial guidelines
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other creative functions (and processes), across departments/stakeholders
Ability to balance speed with accuracy and quality
Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Workfront and Google Workspace, as well as other software and apps, as needed
