QS/Billing Engineer (Civil)

Job Summary: The Billing Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of billing and financial reporting for construction projects. This includes the preparation, verification, and management of contractor and client invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze cost estimates for projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures.
• Evaluate contractor proposals and negotiate contracts.
• Manage procurement processes, including sourcing materials and services.
• Measure and value work done on-site.
• Prepare and submit project progress reports and payment applications.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
• Maintain accurate records of project finances and documentation.
• Prepare and verify bills for construction materials and labor.
• Ensure accuracy in billing as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with the project team for timely payments.
• Keep records of expenses and budget allocation.
• Generate cost reports and monitor project finances

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 6-11 years of experience as a Billing Engineer in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of billing processes, contract management, and project cost control.
• Proficiency in billing software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in large-scale construction projects.
• Knowledge of construction standards and regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
