Job Overview:: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager with a strong background in oil and refinery projects. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of refinery construction and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role demands expertise in oil and gas processes, project management methodologies, and leading cross-functional teams in a high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

• Develop detailed project plans covering scope, schedule, cost, and resource allocation for refinery projects.
• Oversee all stages of oil and refinery projects, from initial design to commissioning.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and industry standards.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure seamless execution.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders such as clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
• Address challenges and ensure smooth resolution of issues during project execution.

Budget Management:

• Prepare and oversee project budgets, ensuring cost control and alignment with financial goals.
• Approve expenditures and provide accurate financial reports to senior management.
• Track costs against the budget and implement corrective actions as needed.

Risk Management:

• Identify and evaluate potential risks specific to oil and refinery operations.
• Develop and execute mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental policies, and safety protocols.

Quality Assurance:

• Maintain the highest standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with specifications and industry norms.
• Address any non-conformities with corrective measures promptly.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree in Project Management or Oil & Gas is an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 15 years in project management within the oil and gas or refinery sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale refinery projects.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• In-depth understanding of oil and gas processes, construction techniques, and safety standards.

Certifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
• Industry-relevant certifications (e.g., API, ASME) are an advantage.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
