Accountant -

Job Summary: The Site Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the construction project on-site. This includes overseeing daily financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of expenditures, managing payroll for site workers, and ensuring adherence to budgetary allocations.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

• Maintain accurate financial records for the site, including all transactions, invoices, and receipts.
• Prepare regular financial reports, including cost summaries, to track expenses against budget.
• Liaise with the central accounting team to provide timely updates on project financials.

Budget Tracking & Cost Control

• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring expenses align with the approved budget.
• Provide cost forecasts and financial analysis to support project decision-making.
• Identify and report any financial risks or irregularities to the Project Manager and Finance Manager.

Payroll & Site Staff Accounting

• Process weekly or monthly payroll for on-site workers, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Maintain records of attendance, overtime, and deductions for all site staff.
• Coordinate with HR and the main office to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Manage vendor payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Oversee procurement-related financial activities, coordinating with the purchasing department as needed.

Inventory & Asset Management

• Track the purchase and use of site materials, maintaining inventory records.
• Assist in asset management, ensuring proper allocation and recording of fixed assets on-site.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to local financial regulations and company policies.
• Maintain organized records for audits and inspections.
• Prepare documentation for project closure and handover.

Coordination & Communication

• Communicate with the project team to discuss budget status, expenditures, and financial projections.
• Support project managers and site supervisors with financial information and budget insights.
• Serve as the on-site financial liaison between the project team and the main office.
