Subject Matter Expert - Active Directory (4-7 yrs)

Job Summary.

We are seeking a highly skilled Active Directory Subject Matter Expert specializing in Active Directory design and migration.

As a Subject Matter Expert (NRA 2.0 Stage 2), your primary responsibility will be to define, implement, and migrate Active Directory environments, focusing on best practices for installation, configuration, and administration.

Your expertise in Compute and VMware, along with an in-depth understanding of Active Directory and Windows environments, will be crucial in ensuring the protection, availability, and compliance of industrial control systems.

AD Design and Migration: Install, configure, and administer Active Directory based on best practices.

Analyze existing Active Directory environments to identify migration requirements.

Policy Management: Implement and manage AD GPO policies leveraging VMware and Windows platforms.

Expert Guidance: Provide expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders regarding AD-related matters.

AD Management: Manage and maintain the Active Directory environment, including domains, forests, trusts, and organizational units (OUs).

Oversee Group Policy Object (GPO) creation, management, and troubleshooting.

Monitor AD replication health and resolve related issues.

Upgrades and Migrations: Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades with minimal downtime.

Support migrations involving UCS servers, virtual machines, or hyperconverged clusters.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g , Azure Administrator Associate, MCSE, MCSA, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNP Data Centre) are advantageous.

Experience :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Active Directory environments, including hybrid AD environments and Azure AD/cloud integrations and certificate management.

Technical Skills :

Must have :

- Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Group Policy, and VMware.

- Experience in configuring and managing VMware-based technologies (VMware vSphere 7.0 & 8.0).

- Expereinced in configuring MS Windows Server 2016, 2019 versions.

Good to have :

- Knowledge of deploying, configuring, and managing hyperconverged solutions like Nutanix, VMware vSAN, or Cisco Hyperflex.

- Management of VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter, and related virtualization technologies.

- Implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup solutions for VMware environments.

- Solid understanding of common infrastructure services (DNS, NTP, Syslog, RDP etc.) intgration with application landscape.

Analytical Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.

Communication :

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders at various levels.
