Solution Architect

Role: A member of a worldwide, geographically distributed Enterprise Architecture team that is develops and maintains the services reference architecture for Fujitsu.Reporting to the Lead for Reference Architecture in the Architecture and Technology Team as part of the Technology Standardization Division.The role is a sole contributor, but is expected to lead collaborative teams.

Responsibilities.Lead collaborations with diverse geographically distributed teams from across Fujitsu to create reference architectures using TOGAF.

In doing so, understand market leading IT service delivery methods in line with ISO20000 for an IT services company and incorporate the architectures into the ways of working of the business units for compliance and implementation.Be accountable for the delivery of reference architectures and manage other people to achieve the timescales allotted.Create written documentation to accompany the reference architectures.Compare two or more services and make optimization recommendations to standardize the services according to the Reference Architectures.Create powerpoint presentations when required to explain and promote the activity of the Reference Architecture team.Maintain familiarity with, and promote the wider work of the Architecture and Technology team to other parts of Fujitsu.

Experience: 8 years of experience in Information Technology that includes acting as an enterprise architect (or as a senior solution architect) within a multinational corporate/IT Services business.6 years as an enterprise level business/process/technology architect. The ability to rapidly understand and decompose an operational delivery focused architecturesExperience with modern architecture frameworks and designs specifically TOGAF and past experience working with EA modeling tools and languages, Orbus Infinity preferred but not required.Past experience developing technology standards and governance. Consulting and/or Architecture experience advising customers on Cloud Solutions architecture, design, and operation. Experience in using Visio for architecture diagrams.Communication / Collaboration / Inter-Personal SkillsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships to leverage information and insights across key stakeholder groups. Leading by influencing rather than by direct management.Self-starter with self-confidence, enthusiasm, and strong customer service orientation capable of working in a distributed team where resources are spread across geographies and time zones (ex: India, UK, Europe, Singapore, US, Japan).Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, geographically flexible, and highly active environment.Capable to collaborate and present with good written and verbal communication skills in English across multi-cultural stakeholders.Technical skillsA working knowledge of TOGAF or other enterprise architecture framework essential certification in TOGAF preferred.Understanding effective and modern approaches to service management and solution operations essential.A working knowledge of ISO20000, IT4IT and ISO27001 preferrableA working knowledge of UML preferred.A wide knowledge of both application and infrastructure architectures.
