Senior Software Developer

General Job Description:

Senior Software Developer experienced in developing scalable and reliable server-side applications and protocol simulator. The role should have in-depth knowledge of backend programming languages (preferably RUST or C/C++). He is responsible and in the lead for developing and maintaining the applications, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness to requests from the front-end and connected devices. A software Developer who is not only technically skilled but also capable of independently driving and actively shaping projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating requirements, traceability, and test-driven web-based development.
• Creating high quality, efficient, maintainable code for complex software applications and tools.
• Participating in the architectural design and decision-making process for software application.
• Follow the software development process, continuous implementation, and deployment strategy.
• Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.
• Identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing software for better efficiency and scalability.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Performing code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards.

Skill Requirements:

• Programming Proficiency in Rust, C/C++, Angular, TypeScript.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git or GitHub
• Containerization and Orchestration: Docker
• CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with GitLab or similar tools.
• Testing: Experience with unit, integration, and load testing.
• Knowledge of Safe Communication Protocols in Railways Signalling.
• Good knowledge of network architecture, troubleshooting and communication protocols
• Experience in working with agile methodologies, e.g. SCRUM,
• Operating System: LINUX and Microsoft Windows.

EDUCATION:

• Master or Bachelor of Engineering (Computer / Electronics / Telecommunication)
• Excellent communication skill in English (spoken and written) required for internal and external communications.

EXPERIENCE:

• 7 - 9 years overall development experience.
• Experience of IP networking and Ethernet-based application development.

Ability for travels to Austria (few weeks up to few months)
