Assistant Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

• Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO)
• Conduct periodic stock audits and resolve discrepancies in inventory levels.
• Oversee receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods in accordance with company standards.

2. Warehouse Operations:

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring orders are processed efficiently and on time.
• Optimize the layout of the warehouse for maximum storage and operational efficiency.
• Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
• Additional Warehouse Stock Transfer Management

3. Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, including material handlers, forklift operators, and other warehouse personnel.
• Provide training and development to warehouse staff to improve performance and skills.
• Ensure staff adhere to safety procedures and company policies.

4. Logistics and Distribution:

• Oversee the loading and unloading of deliveries, ensuring that all goods are handled carefully and efficiently.

5. Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure the warehouse complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by enforcing safety practices and addressing potential hazards.

6. Reporting and Documentation:

• Generate regular reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, stock movements, order fulfilment,
• and team performance.
• Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including receipts, shipments, and returns.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on reporting data.

7. Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for process improvement within warehouse operations, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Work with other departments to streamline logistics and improve the overall supply chain.
• Implement best practices and technological solutions to optimize warehouse performance.

8. Sensor Production:

• Achieving the sensor production target in accordance with the planned versus actual outcomes
• Ensuring the quality of sensor production.

Qualification and required key skill sets:

• Masters degree in Commerce
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in warehouse management or a related role, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• leadership position.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
• Experience with SAP MM
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
• Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment is a plus.
