Role Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to lead and mentor our social media team.
- This strategic role requires a strong background in social media marketing, branding, and content creation.
- The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing social media strategies that align with client goals, elevate brand presence, and drive impactful engagement across multiple platforms.
- This individual will guide a team to create cohesive, creative, and brand-aligned content.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Training and Mentorship:
- Mentor and Guide: Provide ongoing training and mentorship to the social media team on best practices, social media trends, and client communication.
- Skill Development: Help team members develop their skills, particularly in managing diverse social media platforms and executing branding initiatives.
- Performance Feedback: Regularly assess team performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team productivity.
Strategic Planning and Calendar Management:
- Develop Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive social media strategies for clients, ensuring alignment with their business goals and objectives.
- Content Calendar: Oversee the creation and management of editorial calendars to maintain a consistent and timely flow of content across all platforms.
- Adaptable Plans: Adjust strategies based on analytics, trends, and client feedback to optimize performance.
Collaboration and Oversight:
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments ( content creation, influencer marketing, and paid media teams) to integrate social media campaigns into broader marketing strategies.
- Client Communication: Act as the point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on campaign performance and proposing adjustments when necessary.
- Team Coordination: Ensure that the social media team is aligned on client objectives and strategies, streamlining the implementation of campaigns.
Hands-On Social Media Marketing and Branding:
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that all social media content adheres to client brand guidelines, creating a consistent brand voice across platforms.
- Content Creation Oversight: Guide the team in creating high-quality, engaging, and relevant content that resonates with target audiences and strengthens brand presence.
- Campaign Execution: Execute social media campaigns, including creating posts, analyzing results, and optimizing for engagement and conversion.
- Platform-Specific Strategy: Tailor content and strategies for each platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, etc), taking into account platform algorithms and audience preferences.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement, reach, conversions, and ROI for each social media campaign.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc) to assess performance and recommend adjustments to strategies.
- Client Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports to clients on campaign performance, trends, and future recommendations.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Social Media Marketing Expertise:
- In-depth understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc) and their algorithms.
- Proven track record of creating impactful social media campaigns that drive engagement and align with client business objectives.
- Experience with paid social media campaigns (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads) and optimizing for conversions.
Branding and Content Creation:
- Strong knowledge of branding principles and how to develop and maintain a brand identity on social media.
- Experience in content creation (graphics, videos, captions, and storytelling) that resonates with audiences and reinforces brand values.
- Ability to maintain brand consistency across all social channels, ensuring cohesive messaging.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team of social media marketers.
- Ability to delegate tasks, prioritize projects, and manage multiple clients effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and guide a team to success.
Analytical and Data-Driven:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and interpret social media performance metrics (engagement, reach, clicks, conversions).
- Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or Buffer to monitor and report on social media performance.
- Ability to use data to make informed decisions and optimize campaigns.
Communication Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and present complex data clearly.
- Strong ability to handle client communication, presenting results, and discussing strategies in a professional and engaging manner.
Project Management:
- Experience in managing social media projects from concept to execution, ensuring that deadlines are met and goals are achieved.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Monday.com to track tasks and collaborate efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in social media marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Certifications: Certifications in social media marketing (Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Facebook Blueprint) are a plus.
