FirstCry - Assistant Manager - Compliance (3-6 yrs)

We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Compliance to ensure that our organization adheres to all regulatory and licensing requirements across PAN India stores.

This role will focus on application management, compliance monitoring, communication with regulatory authorities, and problem resolution.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in compliance management, particularly in the retail or e-commerce industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Process for PAN India Stores:

- Prepare and submit license and permit applications with accuracy and timeliness.

- Coordinate with government agencies to ensure smooth processing and approvals.

- Track application statuses and follow up as necessary to obtain necessary permits.

Compliance Management:

- Maintain a comprehensive database of all licenses, permits, and renewal requirements.

- Monitor compliance with licensing conditions and address issues promptly.

- Assist in inspections, audits, and reports related to compliance functions, including:

- Environment Health & Safety

- Food Safety

- Product Safety

- Labor and Employment

- Support E&C functions to promote a culture of compliance within the stores.

Communication and Liaison:

- Act as the primary liaison between the company and regulatory authorities.

- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to internal stakeholders.

Problem Resolution:

- Investigate and resolve compliance-related discrepancies or issues.

- Collaborate with other departments to address challenges related to licensing and compliance.

Record Keeping:

- Maintain accurate records of licenses, permits, and related documents.

- Prepare reports summarizing the status of compliance activities for management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.

Experience:

- 3 to 6 years of proven experience in license and permit management, preferably in the retail or e-commerce industry.

Skills:

- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

- High attention to detail and accuracy in work.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Industry Background:

- Candidates with experience in the e-commerce or retail industry are highly preferred
