As a Circle Head at Finolex Cables Ltd., you will be responsible for overseeing and managing operations within a designated geographical circle. This role involves developing and implementing business strategies, driving sales and revenue growth, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a strategic mind-set, and the ability to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Role & responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of the EPC activities within the assigned circle for OFC projects. Develop and execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety regulations. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
2. Engineering Oversight: Provide technical expertise and guidance in the planning, design, and implementation of OFC networks. Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Resolve technical issues and challenges encountered during project execution.
3. Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Oversee the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for OFC projects. Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strategic partnerships to optimize procurement efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to support construction activities.
4. Construction Supervision: Supervise construction activities, including trenching, cable laying, splicing, and termination, to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective measures as necessary. Collaborate with site managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve construction-related issues and ensure project milestones are met.
5. Stakeholder Management: Interface with internal stakeholders, such as senior management, operations teams, and other functional departments, to provide updates on project status and address concerns. Liaise with external stakeholders, including government authorities, regulatory bodies, local communities, and landowners, to facilitate project approvals and resolve conflicts.
6. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle. Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and incidents at construction sites. Promote a culture of safety and environmental sustainability among project team members and subcontractors.
7. Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates, monitoring expenditures to ensure financial targets are met. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize project cost efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
8. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular progress reports, financial statements, and other project documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of project activities, expenses, and milestones, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor in Engineering in Civil/ Electronic & Telecommunication/ Electrical/ in case of diploma holder work experience should be of at least 15 years.
10-12 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably OFC laying projects.
Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving targets.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced to complete project in well before set times.
Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel within the designated circle and occasionally to other locations as required.
