As a Circle Head at Finolex Cables Ltd., you will beresponsible for overseeing and managing operations within a designatedgeographical circle. This role involves developing and implementing businessstrategies, driving sales and revenue growth, and ensuring operationalexcellence. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a strategicmind-set, and the ability to foster a culture of collaboration andinnovation.
Role &responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Lead andmanage all aspects of the EPC activities within the assigned circle for OFCprojects. Develop and execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines,budgets, quality standards, and safety regulations. Coordinate with internalteams, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless projectexecution.
2. Engineering Oversight: Providetechnical expertise and guidance in the planning, design, and implementation ofOFC networks. Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications toensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Resolvetechnical issues and challenges encountered during project execution.
3. Procurement and Supply ChainManagement: Oversee the procurement process for materials, equipment, andservices required for OFC projects. Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts,and establish strategic partnerships to optimize procurement efficiency andcost-effectiveness. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery ofmaterials to support construction activities.
4. Construction Supervision:Supervise construction activities, including trenching, cable laying, splicing,and termination, to ensure adherence to project specifications and qualitystandards. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress,identify potential risks, and implement corrective measures as necessary.Collaborate with site managers, engineers, and contractors to resolveconstruction-related issues and ensure project milestones are met.
5. Stakeholder Management:Interface with internal stakeholders, such as senior management, operationsteams, and other functional departments, to provide updates on project statusand address concerns. Liaise with external stakeholders, including governmentauthorities, regulatory bodies, local communities, and landowners, tofacilitate project approvals and resolve conflicts.
6. Health, Safety, andEnvironmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, andenvironmental regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle.Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents andincidents at construction sites. Promote a culture of safety and environmentalsustainability among project team members and subcontractors.
7. Budget and Cost Management:Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates, monitoringexpenditures to ensure financial targets are met. Identify cost-savingopportunities and implement measures to optimize project cost efficiency withoutcompromising quality or safety.
8. Reporting and Documentation:Prepare regular progress reports, financial statements, and other projectdocumentation for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate recordsof project activities, expenses, and milestones, ensuring compliance withreporting requirements.
Qualifications andSkills:
Bachelor in Engineering inCivil/ Electronic & Telecommunication/ Electrical/ in case of diplomaholder work experience should be of at least 15 years.
10-12 years of experience in asenior leadership role, preferably OFC laying projects.
Proven track record of drivingbusiness growth and achieving targets.
Strong leadership andcommunication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Ability to thrive in afast-paced to complete project in well before set times.
Strategic thinker withanalytical and problem-solving abilities.
AdditionalRequirements:
Willingness to travel withinthe designated circle and occasionally to other locations as required.
