Asst / Dy Manager Production (tin Plating line)

Job Summary: The Deputy Manager Production (Tin Plating Line) is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the tin plating process in the cable manufacturing plant. This includes overseeing production processes, managing staff, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining equipment. The role demands a deep understanding of the tin plating process, cable manufacturing, and production optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Management:
  
• Supervise the daily operations of the tin plating line, ensuring timely and efficient production.
• Ensure smooth operations by troubleshooting issues and optimizing production processes.
• Plan and coordinate the production schedule in line with customer orders and inventory requirements.
• Monitor production performance, including yield, quality, and throughput..
• Quality Control:
  
• Monitor and ensure the quality of tin-plated cables and wires meet customer and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of the plating line to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Work with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to perform tests and ensure compliance with relevant specifications.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  
• Oversee the maintenance of tin plating machinery and equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with the maintenance department to address and resolve equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance schedules for all plating machinery.
• Inventory and Material Management:
  
• Ensure raw materials (tin, chemicals, etc.) are stocked appropriately and monitor usage.
• Maintain optimal material inventory levels to avoid production delays.
• Liaise with the procurement team to order necessary materials on time.
• Process Optimization:
  
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices and quality improvement initiatives.
• Analyze production data and performance metrics to track progress and suggest improvements.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
  
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies for the tin plating process.
• Conduct safety training for team members and enforce the use of safety equipment.
• Monitor the work environment for safety hazards and ensure appropriate action is taken.
• Reporting and Documentation:
  
• Maintain detailed production records, including daily production logs, quality control reports, and maintenance schedules.
• Report key production metrics to senior management and suggest corrective actions where necessary.
• Prepare reports related to production efficiency, quality issues, and any other areas requiring attention.

• Experience:
  
• Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in production management - Cable Plant.
• Hands-on experience with tin plating lines and processes.
• Strong background in manufacturing processes, machinery, and quality control.
