AVP/ Head- Reconciliation

The Head of Reconciliation and Card Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing the reconciliation and card operations functions in the payments domain. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, manages all card operation processes, and supports regulatory compliance. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, improve transaction processing, and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Reconciliation Management:
Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation processes for all financial transactions, including bank settlements, card transactions, and general ledger reconciliations.
Ensure accurate matching of transactions across various payment channels, quickly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain high standards of compliance with regulatory and audit requirements, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

Card Operations Oversight:
Manage end-to-end card operations, including issuance, activation, transactions, chargebacks, and fraud detection.
Collaborate with technology and risk teams to enhance transaction security, minimize fraud risks, and ensure compliance with PCI DSS standards.
Develop and implement procedures for efficient card lifecycle management, optimizing customer experience and reducing operational risks.

Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation and card processing workflows, implementing automation and controls where possible.
Work closely with IT and product teams to integrate reconciliation and card systems, streamlining reporting and data flow.
Leverage analytics to provide insights into transaction patterns, identify risks, and suggest improvements.

Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, particularly in card processing and financial reconciliation.
Prepare reconciliation and transaction reports for senior management, regulatory authorities, and audit purposes.
Coordinate audits related to reconciliation and card operations, ensuring all records are accurate and accessible.

Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the reconciliation and card operations teams, promoting a culture of accountability, accuracy, and customer-centric service.
Set clear performance goals, monitor progress, and provide coaching to support professional growth within the team.
