Job Description
Playing a vital role in driving cost efficiency, you ll partner with the Cost Head and other Cost COE colleagues to shine a light on your Cost area, continuously questioning and finding ways to simplify, optimise and increase transparency. As part of our team, you ll learn and grow every day. You ll develop speciliast knowledge of your Cost area and will contribute to the implementation of best practice, gaining the skills and capability to:
- Own and manage the end-to-end accrual and accounting process of cost areas
- Create engaging and informative monthly and ad-hoc analysis, analyzing movements with the Cost Head from both a Controlling and Business Finance perspective
- Support month end process by investigating variance with budget/forecast and provide thoughtful actions and comments to drive business decisions.
- Understand and compile stakeholder requests and provide feasible solutions
- Undertake monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and lead the overall month end close process
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders (including Tax, Payroll, HR, Legal and Management Accounting Business Finance teams) acting as subject matter expert for your Cost area and positively representing the Cost COE
- Get involved in an exciting range of FIL-wide projects or tasks relating to your Cost area
- Maintain a high level of risk awareness and develop a sound control environment to mitigate risk
- Understand cost accounting and its downstream impact on Controllership and Business Finance
- Are curious, with strong attention to detail and a love for diving into issues in depth
- Have sound analytical skills and strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Comfortable in working with people and teams across the business to develop, share, accept and implement new ideas
- Love working as part of a team and contributing towards team goals, but also enjoy working independently to deliver results
- Are comfortable with managing multiple tasks and can prioritize and organize effectively
- Can grasp new concepts, assimilate information and deliver high quality solutions at speed

Lala company culture. You won't feel working in corporate. If you are good in pleasing boss than you will be good. Diffrence of opinion are fatal. Politics is very high. Company is in down cycle . Job cuts are frequent and they stopped employee engagement experience i.e. diwali gifts, get together, other benifit.
