Job Description
- Product Selection: Curate a diverse and appealing assortment of gourmet food products, including but not limited to chocolates, sweets, snacks, beverages, and specialty items.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery, quality control, and competitive pricing.
- Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective strategies for promoting gourmet food products through various channels, including online platforms, social media, and offline marketing campaigns.
- Sales Performance: Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the gourmet food category. Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability. New Product Development: Stay informed about market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging food trends. Work with vendors to develop new and innovative gourmet food products that align with customer preferences.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, including operations, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of gourmet food initiatives and projects.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to team members within the gourmet food category. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in category management, or related roles within the food industry/E-Commerce, with specific experience in gourmet food products preferred.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape within the gourmet food category.
- Proven track record of successfully managing product assortments, driving sales growth, and achieving business objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with e-commerce platforms and ERP systems preferred.
