Senior Mechanical Engineer

Overall Purpose of the Job:

Group Engineering is a central business group responsible for Expros engineering activities.

Senior Engineers are required to perform general Engineering tasks as directed by the Engineering Team Manager in order to fulfil the requirements of Engineering projects.

Principal Accountabilities:

1) Produce/check/approve Engineering documentation as required and check PDM entry as required

2) Functionally supervise and mentor Engineers and Drafters working alongside

3) Perform all tasks in accordance with Expro quality procedures and be fully familiar with group standards

4) Be fully familiar with operation of Engineering systems and software packages

5) Actively be involved in Engineering meetings, reviews as required

6) Operate in a professional manner as a representative of Expro Group Engineering

Dimensions:

Equipment produced from Engineering documentation must be able to be:

• Searched for in PDM system and associated to Engineering project/Design file with all docs using approved templates
• Understood and be manufactured in a cost effective manner with minimal non-conformances
• Assembled, tested and used in the field with minimal corrective actions
• Maintained and revised/revisited easily by any other member of Group Engineering

Qualifications:

• Relevant Degree with area specific Oil and Gas industry knowledge

Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant engineering and/or operations

Job Specific knowledge:

• Working knowledge of Engineering systems, standards and practices
• Proficient to use of ANSYS and/or STAAD software.
• Proficient in the Design, build & testing DNV lifting skids
• Proficient in the design, build & manufacture of vessels (ASM VIII) and pipework (AMSE B31.3)
• Well Testing Knowledge would be desirable
