Senior Process Engineer

Brief Job Overview

Sr. Process Engineer will work for the Production Systems- APAC region, executing activities across all phases of the project including Proposal support , Conceptual Studies, FEED; Detailed Design & Engineering, Installation to Commissioning and Operation support as needed.

Focal point for the activities for Process and Process Safety activities and reporting to Senior Engineering Manager / Product Line Manager

Key responsibilities and main tasks:

1. Work activities will include both project and proposal work where both the technical approach and continuity must be aligned.

2. Projects and proposals are for the Upstream process plants and facilities in the Oil and Gas sector.

3. Project work will include the development of Process Engineering deliverables as required on a project-by-project basis.

4. Project work as the functional Process Lead Engineer for projects as required by the PM.

5. Developing procedures, standards, specifications, and the required design tools for compliance with the HSE policy and efficient execution of the projects.

6. Defining the Development and Training needs for the Production System operations team, if required.

7. Responsible to provide required inputs for proposals including preliminary design, concept schemes etc

8. Basic Knowledge of Process /Technical Safety deliverables and attending Design review and workshops

The experience shall include:

1. Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering with 10-15 years of Design/Project Engineering experience.

2. Experience of Process Engineering on Small/Medium Oil & Gas upstream projects from concept to start-up.

3. Act as Focal point for Process and work in clos e cooperation with other discipline as Subcontractors as applicable.

4. Sound Knowledge on Process schemes /Flow Diagrams, utility Flow schemes and Process Integration

5. Process Simulations/Software

6. Development of P&ID, Cause and effect Diagram, Heat and Mass Balances

7. Safety Analysis and Functional Evaluation Charts (SAFE Charts)

8. Preparation of Data Sheets (Equipment, Instrument, Control Valve, Safety Valves)

9. Equipment sizing, line sizing, pressure relief, emergency de-pressuring, flare and vent system sizing

10. Hazardous area identification and classification

11. Develop process control and safeguarding philosophy, safeguarding memorandum and functional description of process control and safeguarding systems.

12. Process /Technical Safety

13. Hazop /Safety workshop attendance

14. Technical solutions - Operations

15. Preparation on Manuals and Procedures (O&M, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning

16. Process Engineer also responsible for Process and Technical Safety and capable of coordinating the activities.

17. Experience in Functional Safety including, development of a Functional Safety Management Plan, participation in Safety Reviews, development.
