Ideation & Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify relevant and timely conference concepts that address industry needs, align with market trends, and offer long-term relevance. Evaluate potential markets based on industry growth, government policies, and public-private sector synergy. Identify emerging trends and anticipate future industry needs.
Competitive Analysis: Analyze competing conferences to identify their strengths, weaknesses, unique features, content focus, speaker profiles, formats, and sponsor base to ensure our events stand out in the market. Develop strategies to differentiate our events and attract a wider audience.
Value Proposition Development: Define and articulate a compelling value proposition for all stakeholders to emphasize ROI, highlight actionable takeaways, high value networking, career development opportunities, etc.
Agenda Development: Develop engaging and informative conference agendas using primary and secondary research. This includes: Securing keynote speakers from industry leaders, thought leaders, and influencers.
Designing interactive session formats, such as workshops, round-tables, Q&A sessions, and hackathons.
Incorporating networking breaks, social events, and other opportunities for attendee interaction.
Speaker Outreach & Management: Identify, recruit, and manage high-profile speakers, ensuring their expertise, credibility, and compelling insights enhance the programs value. Manage speaker contracts, presentations, and on-site requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with speakers.
Marketing & Promotion: Work closely with marketing and branding teams to develop compelling marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and public relations.
On-Site Execution: Oversee all aspects of on-site event execution, including:
Agenda management and session timing.
Speaker coordination and on-site support.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
MC oversight to ensure professional event hosting.
Post-Event Analysis: Conduct thorough post-event analysis to evaluate success, gather feedback from attendees, sponsors, and speakers, and identify areas for improvement in future events. Prepare post-event reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in conference production or event management (1+ years preferred).
Strong understanding of the conference lifecycle and best practices.
Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and collaboration skills.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of marketing and social media best practices.
Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business administration, hospitality management, or a related field preferred.
