We are looking for a head of marketing, who will be responsible for overseeing the entire
marketing strategy and execution for bits & BYTE. This includes building the marketing
vision, defining long-term strategic goals and aligning marketing efforts with the businesss
objectives. You will be instrumental in driving demand for our solutions, increasing brand
awareness, and positioning our company as a thought leader in the networking and
cybersecurity space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Strategy & Leadership:
Lead the development and execution of the company\u2019s marketing strategy, ensuring it
aligns with business objectives and drives growth in networking and cybersecurity
industry.
Set and manage the marketing vision, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
for the department.
- Team Leadership & Development:
Manage and mentor a diverse marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture
and enabling team members to achieve their full potential.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of marketing professionals within
the department.
- Brand Development & Positioning:
Strengthen and promote the company\u2019s brand identity to establish bits & BYTE as a
leader in the networking, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity sectors.
Guide the creation of compelling messaging that speaks to both technical and
executive audiences.
- Demand Generation & Lead Generation:
Oversee and optimize marketing campaigns across all channels (digital, traditional,
content, events) to generate high-quality leads and drive revenue growth.
Utilize data-driven insights to develop targeted marketing initiatives that yield
measurable results.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive
landscapes.
Use findings to refine marketing strategies and ensure the company remains
competitive in the marketplace.
- Digital Marketing & Technology:
Spearhead the digital transformation of marketing efforts, leveraging tools such as
marketing automation, SEO, SEM, paid media, email marketing, and social media to
increase visibility and engagement.
Lead the integration of emerging technologies to optimize marketing performance.
- Sales & Marketing Alignment:
Work closely with the sales team to ensure marketing campaigns and sales efforts are
fully aligned, driving a seamless customer journey from lead generation to
conversion.
Provide sales enablement tools, such as collateral, case studies, and product training
materials, to support the sales process.
- Budget Management:
Manage the overall marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across
channels and campaigns to achieve the best return on investment (ROI).
Report regularly on marketing spend and campaign performance to the executive
team.
- Event Management & Public Relations:
Oversee the company\u2019s presence at industry events, trade shows, webinars, and
conferences, ensuring successful brand representation and lead generation.
Manage public relations initiatives, working with media outlets, analysts, and
influencers to enhance the company\u2019s reputation.
- Analytics & Reporting:
Track, measure, and analyze the performance of all marketing campaigns and
initiatives.
Provide regular reports to the executive team, offering insights and actionable
recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field. An MBA or
advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience:
8+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 3-5 years in a
leadership or head-of-department role.
Proven experience in B2B marketing, ideally within the IT, networking,
cybersecurity, or technology sector.
- Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on mentorship and career
development.
Deep understanding of B2B marketing strategies, digital marketing channels, and
demand generation techniques.
Strong knowledge of marketing analytics, tools, and platforms (e.g., Google
Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all
levels of the organization.
Exceptional strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Preferred Experience:
Experience in the cybersecurity, networking, or enterprise IT software industry.
Familiarity with SaaS, subscription-based models, and enterprise-level solutions.
Experience with managing large-scale marketing budgets and delivering measurable
results.
Expertise in both traditional and digital marketing strategies (SEO/SEM, content
marketing, paid media, email campaigns, etc.).
