Job Description:

- Our Client, a Leading Financial Services company is looking out for an IT Infrastructure Operations Manager / Head to be based at Kuwait.

- The ideal incumbent should be a hands-on IT Operations professional working either in a Financial Services company or similar. Should have managed IT vendors and be technically competent to get work done through vendors. Experience of working in any GCC countries is mandatory.

- The position reports to the Head of Technology.

Role Description:

- The IT Infrastructure Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing end to end IT Infrastructure operations, network security, system administration, and troubleshooting.

- Analyze operating processes to ensure they are delivering what is required.

- Follow up on preventive maintenance procedures for all IT infrastructure.

- Manage logging procedure for maintenance activities (preventive and calls).

- Investigate escalated technical problems, analyze issues and provide effective solutions.

- Ensure adherence to policy and procedures as assigned by the department.

- Involve in multiple lines of business for implementation of consistent architecture and technology in alignment with both long-term and short-term goals.

- Guide and assist special projects starting by preparing unit plans incorporating recommended strategy for their project.

- Provide system test plans, and aid in testing interfaces and other systems as per requirement.

- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as H/W related issues escalated by the service Desk team.

- Assist Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

- Provide technical support for all technical problems related to infrastructure i.e system failures, ensuring system availability.

- Develop and maintain relationships with third party vendors to evaluate their products and recommend architecturally compliant products for IT utilization.

- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions and mitigate all security risk related to infrastructure.

- Control the cost for the infrastructure expenses.

- Prepare a periodic report of all system availability and other management reports.

Qualifications

- BE/B.Tech with 15 yrs experience in IT Infrastructure Management.

- Technical Expert in IT Infra Operations and Network Security.

- Troubleshooting capabilities.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Knowledge of financial services industry is a plus.

- Experience of working in Kuwait is a desirable.
