Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Head to lead our Fixed Income Markets operations in the Hyderabad region, encompassing Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha. This senior leadership role will be pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence in the region. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Fixed Income products, strong institutional relationships, and a proven track record in sales, trading, and client acquisition. You will be responsible for leading a team, managing relationships with key institutional clients, and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regional Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve regional sales targets and market share growth in Fixed Income products.
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective collaboration.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on regional performance and market insights.
- Ensure alignment of regional activities with the company's overall business objectives.
2. Business Development and Client Relationship Management:
- Drive new client acquisition and retention, focusing on Cooperative Banks, NBFCs, Trusts, and other institutional investors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client institutions.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach.
- Conduct presentations and pitches to potential clients, showcasing the company's Fixed Income product offerings.
- Provide exceptional client service and address client inquiries and concerns promptly.
3. Fixed Income Trading and Sales:
- Oversee the sales and purchase of Fixed Income instruments, including government securities, corporate bonds, and money market instruments.
- Develop and implement trading strategies to maximize profitability and manage risk.
- Monitor and analyze market movements and interest rate trends to make informed trading decisions.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of trades and adherence to internal control procedures.
- Provide market insights and trading recommendations to clients.
4. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including those set by RBI, SEBI, and other relevant authorities.
- Develop and implement internal control procedures to mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure that the team is trained on compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
5. Market Intelligence and Analysis:
- Gather and analyze market data and intelligence to identify trends and opportunities.
- Prepare detailed market reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor competitor activities and identify areas for competitive advantage.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the regional financial markets.
6. Extensive Travel:
- Be prepared for extensive travel across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and potentially Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, to meet with clients and explore business opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 10-12 years of proven experience in Fixed Income Markets, with a strong emphasis on trading and institutional sales.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Money Market and Fixed Income instruments, including government securities, corporate bonds, and treasury bills.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong leadership and people management skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. -
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to close deals and build consensus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and financial modeling.
- Education: Postgraduate degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Certifications (Preferred): Certifications from FIMMDA, NSE, NSDL, IIBF.
- Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients.
- Regional Knowledge: Strong understanding of the financial markets and regulatory landscape in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Integrity: High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
