As a Watchmaker at Ethos, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and restoration of various types of watches, ensuring they function accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities:
Diagnose issues with watches and determine necessary repairs or adjustments.
Disassemble and reassemble timepieces, ensuring each component is cleaned, lubricated, and repaired as needed.
Replace or repair damaged or worn watch parts such as crystals, hands, dials, and movements.
Perform water resistance testing and ensure watches meet quality standards.
Test and calibrate watches for accuracy using specialized tools and equipment.
Provide estimates for repair costs and timelines to customers.
Maintain detailed records of repairs and inventory of watch parts.
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in watch technology, and new repair techniques.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Watchmaker, ideally with formal training or apprenticeship.
Strong technical skills and proficiency in using watchmaking tools and equipment.
Deep understanding of watch mechanisms, including mechanical, automatic, and quartz movements.
Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems.
