Job Description
Senior Manager
As part of our GDS (Global Delivery Services) Consulting team, you will be part of Digital Engineering team. You will be working as MSM (Microsoft Sustainability Manager) specialist and will collaborate with other teams within Consulting services.
Your key responsibilities
- Oversees the design and deployment of the technical architecture, ensuring the appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools, and responsibilities are in place to deliver excellence and risks are identified, managed, and mitigated.
- Acts as an intermediary between the business / client community and the technical community, working with the business to understand and solve complex problems, presenting solutions and options in a simplified manner for clients / business.
- Develop road map for the clients - short term and long-term Plan, aligned to business requirements and goals for the organisation.
- Stays up to date with changes in software and technology most relevant to EY and promotes the use of new solutions and emerging technologies to maximize efficiency, reliability, and value.
- Works across multiple technical architecture projects with varied stakeholders, providing technical leadership and advisory services to the business by anticipating needs and potential objections and contributing to project management activities.
- Leads the relationships with development teams to ensure successful blueprinting and implementation.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on best practices in proposal writing and the RFP process.
- Develop comprehensive response strategies aligned with client needs and company strengths.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across departments to draft compelling and technically accurate content.
Lead the design and development of our ESG data platform:
- Implement and configure a robust Content Management System (CMS) to centralize ESG data and information.
- Customize and manage Microsoft Sustainability Manager configurations to effectively track and report on ESG metrics.
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI to visualize key ESG performance indicators.
- Develop and refine ESG KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to accurately measure progress towards sustainability goals.
- Actively participate and develop sector knowledge of our client to help better conversation and engage with onshore and client team to support business optimization.
Ensure data integrity and model understanding:
- Review and analyse data sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Design and implement data models that integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
- Develop and document clear data governance procedures to maintain data quality.
- Implement Microsoft One-Fabric tools and technologies to drive ESG data integration, analysis, and reporting.
Support presales activities:
- Participate in client engagements and demonstrations to highlight our ESG capabilities.
- Translate customer needs into technical solutions aligned with their sustainability goals.
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations that highlight the value of our ESG offerings.
- Lead presentations and workshops to educate stakeholders on ESG technology initiatives.
Stay ahead of the curve:
- Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in the ESG space.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance our ESG data platform and analytics capabilities.
- Share your knowledge and expertise through internal training and knowledge sharing sessions.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams:
- Work closely with business, IT , data science, and leadership to ensure alignment with organizational ESG goals.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and accountability across the organization.
- Facilitate smooth and complete account management in collaboration with constituent teams across the EY (Ernst & Young) Network
- Be the point person on mobility engagement for EY network and the client s primary contacts.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A bachelors or masters degree
- A minimum of 14-18 years of experience, preferably background in a professional services firm.
- Possesses deep knowledge on technical architecture spanning across aspects of each system from a business and a technical viewpoint.
- Leadership capability and proven ability to manage difficult stakeholders.
- Managed the end-to-end lifecycles of a technical architecture project.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles and frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD).
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Sustainability Manager and Power BI.
- Advanced data modelling and analysis skills.
Ideally, you will also have
- Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products.
- Can operate independently or with minimum supervision.

I believe the culture of EY Middle East is truly inclusive. Despite being a non-arabic speaker I never felt as being excluded. Specially in Qatar, my team was truly global as we had team members from various nationalities and we all worked as one team.
