Position Title: Freight Forwarding Executive
Location: Mumbai Fort
Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

1. Freight Forwarding Bookings:
• Handle end-to-end freight forwarding bookings for Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL).
• Coordinate with clients to understand shipment requirements and provide tailored solutions.
2. Container Booking and Pricing:
• Negotiate competitive pricing with shipping lines for FCL and LCL shipments.
• Manage container bookings and ensure accuracy in shipment schedules.
3. Documentation Management:
• File Import General Manifest (IGM) and Export General Manifest (EGM) with precision and adherence to regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all shipping documentation for audits and client purposes.
4. Software and Tools Usage:
• Utilize industry-specific software like ODEX and INTRA for efficient operations and documentation.
• Leverage Microsoft Excel to create reports, pricing sheets, and maintain shipment data.
5. Vendor and Client Coordination:
• Collaborate with shipping lines, agents, and clients to ensure seamless freight operations.
• Address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
6. Cost Optimization and Reporting:
• Analyze and optimize freight costs to maintain competitiveness.
• Prepare detailed pricing reports and provide insights for decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Proficiency in using industry-specific software like ODEX and INTRA.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred).
• Familiarity with IGM/EGM filing processes.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent negotiation skills for pricing with shipping lines.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
