Management Accountant - Night Shift

We have an opening for the position of Management Accountant for Mumbai location (Night Shift).

Role Description

This position is a full-time, hybrid role for a Management Accountant based in Mumbai. The role involves the preparation of financial statements, accrual management, and the application of analytical skills. Additionally, the Management Accountant will play a key role in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, reconciliations, general ledger entries, intercompany balancing, FX revaluations, amortizations, and other financial reviews.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting weekly cash forecasting for a 15-week period.
• Managing accounts payable payment runs.
• Processing payroll payments.
• Ensuring compliance with banking regulations and overseeing account management.
• Managing bank facilities, including loans, overdrafts, factoring, and compliance.
• Handling cash management tasks such as transfers, payment posting, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.
• Assisting in audits.
• Forecasting tax liabilities.
• Consolidation of the balance sheet.
• Driving continuous improvement through the enhancement of systems, processes, and procedures.
• Undertaking ad-hoc duties as required by the Financial Controller.

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant finance & accounting experience.
• Prior experience in a multi-national company in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles and practices
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Proven ability to prepare financial statements and manage accruals
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to recognize trends and patterns in financial data

Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA (US Accounting)
• Experience in the energy or infrastructure sectors is a plus
• Proficient in Excel and other financial software
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
