Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Manager of Bookkeeping & Accounting to lead our accounting team while managing multiple client books. This role requires expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Desktop, with the ability to handle bookkeeping, train and manage a team, and ensure financials are accurate and compliant. You will work closely with executives and the Executive Operations Coordinator, providing strategic assessments, and establishing process flows to meet client expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy, adherence to GAAP, and accrual accounting methods.
• Manage and train the bookkeeping/accounting team, fostering growth and ensuring high standards of work.
• Conduct detailed client assessments to determine the documents required, clean-up processes, and supporting documentation needed.
• Review the general ledger (GL) thoroughly to ensure consistent categorization of revenue and expenses.
• Set up the process flow for each client in Asana, establishing clear tasks, timelines, and expectations.
• Ensure tasks are completed on time and in line with client expectations, driving team accountability.
• Collaborate with the Executive Operations Coordinator during client onboarding to streamline processes.
• Train clients on bookkeeping and financial procedures using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
• Resolve complex financial discrepancies and guide the team in addressing issues effectively.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to executives to help drive client business decisions.
• Maintain a servant leadership approach, setting standards and ensuring accountability while fostering a positive team culture.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Desktop is required.
• Extensive experience in bookkeeping and accounting, with a deep understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting.
• Ability to manage, train, and develop a team, while also performing hands-on bookkeeping tasks.
• Experience in conducting client assessments and determining document requirements and clean-up strategies.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to thoroughly review the GL for accuracy and consistency.
• Experience working with Asana or other task management tools to set process flows and ensure task completion.
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly with financial discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple client accounts.
• Servant leadership mindset, with the ability to set clear standards and expectations.
