Role Description:
This full-time, hybrid role for a Management Accountant for US accounting in Mumbai encompasses various responsibilities. These include preparing financial statements, accrual management, and applying analytical skills. The position also involves financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with a focus on reconciliations, general ledger entries, intercompany balancing, FX revaluations, amortizations, and other financial reviews.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting weekly cash forecasts for a 15-week period.
- Managing accounts payable and payment runs.
- Processing payroll payments accurately.
- Ensuring compliance with banking regulations and overseeing account management effectively.
- Managing bank facilities, including loans, overdrafts, factoring, and ensuring compliance.
- Handling cash management tasks such as transfers, payment posting, petty cash management, and bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with audits.
- Forecasting tax liabilities accurately.
- Consolidating the balance sheet efficiently.
- Driving continuous improvement through enhancing systems, processes, and procedures.
- Undertaking ad-hoc duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years relevant finance & accounting experience.
- Prior experience in a multi-national company in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles and practices
- Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proven ability to prepare financial statements and manage accruals
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to recognize trends and patterns in financial data
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional certification such as CPA (USA)or CMA
- Experience in the energy or infrastructure sectors is a plus
- Proficient in Excel and other financial software
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
