Estimator -Digital Printing Company

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Estimator to join our team at a dynamic digital printing company. The Estimator will play a crucial role in calculating accurate pricing for various printing projects, ensuring both profitability and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with clients, sales teams, and production staff to assess project requirements, analyze costs, and provide detailed, competitive estimates for a wide range of digital printing services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, customer requirements, and project scope to determine accurate cost estimations.
• Create detailed and precise cost breakdowns for various digital printing services, including large format printing, commercial print jobs, custom printing, and more.
• Consult with production teams to gather essential information on material costs, labor hours, and equipment requirements.
• Provide clients with timely and accurate estimates based on specifications, ensuring cost-effectiveness and meeting quality standards.
• Prepare and deliver detailed quotes and proposals for potential clients.
• Negotiate pricing and assist in closing deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and company profitability.
• Analyze historical data and trends to improve cost accuracy and predict future needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and new technologies in the digital printing field.
• Collaborate with the production and design teams to ensure feasibility of estimates and timelines.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and project documents.
• Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address client inquiries and changes to project scope.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of estimates, meeting deadlines for both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role, preferably within the digital printing industry.
• Strong understanding of digital printing processes, materials, and production methods.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Ability to analyze complex project requirements and calculate accurate costs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients, production teams, and sales staff.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Knowledge of the latest trends in digital printing technologies and materials is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or estimating software specific to the printing industry.
• Understanding of print production techniques, substrates, and finishes.
