We're looking for an experienced AVP - Operations to lead our warehouse operations team and drive client satisfaction through strategic operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Strategy & Execution

• Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies that align with business objectives.
• Design and oversee SOPs to improve process efficiency, productivity, and scalability.
• Develop and monitor KPIs for operational success, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Warehouse Operations Leadership

• Manage the end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound logistics, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in warehouse operations, focusing on high standards of accuracy, safety, and timeliness.
• Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.

Client Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for major clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Conduct regular client meetings, providing operational updates, insights, and performance reviews.
• Tailor operations to meet specific client SLAs and anticipate future needs through proactive client engagement.

Team Development & Management

• Lead and mentor a team of operations managers, supervisors, and warehouse associates, cultivating a performance-driven culture.
• Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to upskill the team on technical and soft skills, SOPs, and WMS use.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and establish career growth plans for team members.

Process Improvement & Continuous Development:

• Drive initiatives for process optimization, identifying and implementing lean practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure process adherence and identify improvement opportunities in areas like inventory accuracy, cycle time, and order fulfillment.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and improvements.

Data-Driven Decision Making & Reporting:

• Analyze operational data and generate reports to monitor performance metrics, including inventory turnover, throughput, and cost management.
• Use data insights to inform capacity planning, forecast demand, and optimize resource allocation.
• Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership for ongoing improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background:

• Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years in warehouse and logistics operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in managing and optimizing end-to-end warehouse operations, client relationships, and strategic planning.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis tools (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and other SCM tools.
• Strong understanding of logistics workflows, inventory control, and transport management.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional client management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build lasting relationships.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address complex operational challenges.
• Adaptable, with excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
