Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Developer / DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud infrastructure, leveraging modern cloud technologies and DevOps practices to enhance the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our systems. You will play an integral role in managing and automating our cloud environments, utilizing AWS services, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.

Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS using AWS services, AWS CDK, and Terraform.

- Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and AWS CDK.

- Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes on AWS (EKS).

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, Helm charts, and other automation tools to streamline software deployment.

- Ensure the cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, and highly available to meet business and technical requirements.

- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize cloud applications, reduce downtime, and improve deployment velocity.

- Manage and monitor cloud services and applications to ensure optimal performance and rapid issue resolution.

- Implement continuous monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure that infrastructure and applications are performing at peak efficiency.

- Work with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure to deliver solutions, ensuring smooth integration and configuration of both environments.

- Write, maintain, and improve cloud-related automation and infrastructure code using Python and TypeScript.

- Contribute to the implementation and scaling of microservices, containers, and serverless applications.

- Drive continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure, ensuring best practices for performance, security, and cost optimization.

Skills and experience :

- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

- Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience in Cloud Development and DevOps Engineering, with a strong focus on AWS.

- Certification: AWS Certified Solution Architect or minimum Certified Developer (Associate Certification)

- Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS) and infrastructure management, as well as Azure Cloud experience.

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in using AWS CDK, Terraform, and similar tools to automate cloud resource provisioning and management.

- Containerization & Orchestration: Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes, particularly in AWS EKS, for managing containerized applications and services.

- CI/CD Automation: Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like ArgoCD, Helm charts, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

- Scripting & Programming Languages: Strong experience with Python and TypeScript for cloud-related automation and application development.

- Cloud Security: Knowledge of best practices for securing cloud environments, including network security, IAM, and data protection.

- Monitoring & Logging: Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and other monitoring and alerting systems.

- Problem-solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in cloud infrastructure and automated systems.

- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

Good to have additional competencies :

- German language skills are desirable.

- Additional Competencies: Familiarity with cloud-native applications, microservices architecture, and serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway).

- Cost Optimization: Experience in cost management and optimization in cloud environments.

- Security Certifications: Cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty or equivalent.

- Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
