System Administrator

The System Administrator will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, maintenance and support of Server and Cloud infrastructure, and support to end users on Microsoft O365, E-Commerce, UNIX and Windows Servers and Web based applications. This role requires an individual with excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

Role & responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support and troubleshooting for Microsoft O365.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed (phone, email, or in person).
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory, systems, and platforms.
• Install, configure, and perform routine system checks, software updates, patches and security configuration to ensure security and efficiency for Linux/Unix and Windows.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes, and track incidents and service requests in the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
• Coordinate with Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) vendors for scheduled maintenance or issue escalation.
• Assist in the deployment of new technology and system upgrades.
• Contribute to IT projects and initiatives with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless technology support and improvements.
• Strong hands-on experience with server maintenance and monitoring, data backup solutions, and cloud platforms on AWS, Microsoft Azure, O365
• Monitor and maintain AWS Infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, and Web Applications, Magento, Cloud flare, and Web Applications, and knowledge of Caching, DNS, and other protocols.
• Familiarity with database management, SQL, and RDS.
• Ensure data integrity and security through regular audits and monitoring.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of O365, AWS, Linux/Unix, and Databases.
• Familiarity with server maintenance, data backup solutions, and cloud platforms (e.g, AWS, Microsoft Azure, O365)
• Strong Hands-on experience with AWS, Magento, Cloud Flare and Web Applications.
• Knowledge on Caching solutions, DNS, and other protocols.
• Familiarity with database management, SQL, and RDS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• proactive approach to exploring emerging technologies and IT innovations.
