Role Overview Express and Logistics Industry in India is going through a rapid change, and to adapt to the changes and further strengthen its position as the most preferred courier service, DTDC is going through a transformation that will allow it to become even better, smarter, and faster. In our Industry, the transformation is largely composed of technological advancement, and therefore, we need smart, solution-oriented, and hardworking Project Managers to help us reach our goals.

Role:

- Zonal Channel Manager has the overall responsibility for Franchisee (Channel) management. The Zonal Channel Management (ZCM) will lead DTDC's Channel Management department in driving the business and service objectives of DTDC's Channel Partner Network.

- The ZCM playing this role will serve as a key member of the leadership team within DTDC and will lead the development and implementation of channel strategies consistent with the long-term business objectives of DTDC.

- The ZCM will be responsible for maintaining and building strong, disciplined and quality branded Channel Partners across the zone and will drive Channel

- Business Development in line with DTDC's Corporate Strategies with a focus on achieving the desired service levels from Channel Partners, across all Product groups. The AZCM will be responsible for GTM (go to market) strategy, channel related marketing, communication, and overall channel partner development.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Execution :

- Developing the Budget for Zonal Channel Sales and driving the sales & collection target achievements.

- Orient channel strategies and tactics towards differentiated value propositions commensurate with higher margins and better customer retention amongst channel partners.

- Framing and implementing all company policies for the Channel Partner Network ensuring corporate compliance and driving corporate policies for the Channel Department.

- Focus on maintaining the close strategic association with key senior channel partners of zonal and regional significance.

Collaboration :

- Partnering with Operations to ensure 100% Service Level Compliance of Channel Partners for all products of DTDC following all the parameters of service expected from Channel Partners.

- Creating a win-win relationship with channel partners.

- Planning and designing the training and development objectives of the Channel Team, the Channel Partners, and their employees in conjunction with the Learning and Development Department.

- Partnering with all support departments including IT, Accounts & Finance, and Operations as well as senior management resources, in order to meet channel partner performance objectives and channel partners- business expectations.

Marketing and Communication :

- Actively participate in the new product development process by discovering unmet market needs to create differentiated solutions which would help Channel Partners grow their business

- Management of the DTDC brand with Channel Partners including setting and implementing the parameterized guidelines for the internal and external branding of all channel partner premises as well as usage of branded T-shirts, Bags, ID Cards, etc. for their Pick-up & delivery Staff.

- Developing a consistent and effective communication plan to keep the Channel Partners abreast of the latest developments and activities in the Network including the periodic roll-out of new policies and procedures. In this regard drive the marketing team to develop impactful specific marketing materials for channel partners focused on differentiated value creation propositions.

Administrative :

- Driving expansion of DTDC's Channel Network by appointing new channel partners, replacing channel partners and introducing new concepts, products or initiatives with existing channel partners in line with business growth and service enhancement objectives with a clear focus on enhanced brand visibility.

- Periodic review of the Channel Team to measure the progress in meeting the objectives of business growth and service performance IT Skills:

- Tech Savvy with an understanding of IT enablement services.

- Proficient in MS Office suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel Analytical and soft skills:

- Ability to analyze diverse data related to sales and service performance of channel partners and to derive actionable strategies based on the analysis.

- Working knowledge of financials such as cost, cost margins, and bottom line.

- Strong written, communication & public presentation skills.

- Should be well versed with marketing & advertising.

Key leadership Attributes :

- Analyzing & Diagnosing: Ability to assess the problem and its impact. Identify the criticality; act as an advocate working with concerned parties to resolve issues in a positive and timely manner and with appropriate resources.

- Strategic Thinking & Planning: Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of organizational goals and its strategies in order to design a plan of action (i.e. operational, or personal development plan) to achieve goals that are in alignment with the DTDC's business strategy.

- Collaboration: Ability to work cooperatively with others to achieve goals. Motivating (Team Leadership) - Ability to develop cooperation and teamwork while leading a group of people in the development and implementation of team goals.

- Accelerating Change: Ability to structure an approach and implementation to transition teams and organizations from a current state to a future state.

- Experience: The ideal prospect should have at least 8 -15 years of experience in an organization with a large distribution footprint and channel lead business with at least 3 years of experience in a managerial role in channel management. The individual should also have experience in channels, sales, marketing and customer service.

- Preferably from Express / Courier / Logistics / FMCG industry / Telecom & Pharma industry / Franchise experience may also be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:

- The ideal prospect should have at least 9+ years of experience in an organization with a large distribution footprint and channel lead business.

- The individual should also have experience in channels, sales, marketing and customer service.
