Job Description
- To focus on areas of Production and distribution/supply chain management/quality measurement & improvement/ergonomics/technology development and startegic planning.
- To devise efficient systems that intergrate workers,machines,materials and information
- Collaborates with senior engineers to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and build people's efficiency for new product lines.
- Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods,trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organization's competitive edge.
- Identifies and assesses various problems from established manufacturing standards; researches and recommends solutions.
- Implements methods and modifications to reduce costs.
- Perform cycle time studies to verify that actual production operations meet planned targets
- Plan and establish sequence of operations to promote efficient utilization
- Study cycle time, time motion study of the product, line & process
- Good understanding of calculating TACT time, neck time etc
- Able to analyze various losses of the line and do proper analysis of the same to maintain the cycle time.
- Able to use line balancing tool and ergonomics to improve productivity
