Assistant Manager NPI

• Responsible for delivery success of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Transfer in manufacturing operations through maintaining ownership of project scope, schedule, resource and budget from Quality point of view
• Assume role of Operations lead in NPI. Drive Operations Team. Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, QA and Supply Chain to plan and execute activities in transition from development to mass production
• Lead the efforts to drive production ramp-up readiness. Coordinate with cross-functional team (QA, process, assembly, test etc) to ensure manufacturing readiness, new equipments, process flow and specs, documentation and test database infrastructure etc
• Go to person for issue resolution, have experience and expert knowledge of all products and a strong documentation base to support all relevant Stakeholders or new projects, Participate in Project Core Team meetings or Extended Team meetings to drive action to solutions
• Participate in new process development, optimize existing processes, and implement technical breakthrough activities to reduce manufacturing costs and / or enhance manufacturing efficiency
• Drive / Embrace Design for Manufacturability (DFM) on new products with R&D / OEM / ODM and Operations to improve - overall first pass yield at product launches
• Experience in project management, preferably related to new product introduction process, working with multi-functional teams to bring new product from Customer/ODM to production.
• Maintain detailed action lists for all projects, working closely with the engineering and operational teams to ensure they are completed on time.
• Identify gaps and/or risks to project completion and drive mitigation plans to avoid delays or unnecessary expenses
• Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials
• Review and manage internal Operations development plans (test & process)
• Develop, coordinate and manage transition/ramp plans.
• Provide leadership during transfer from NPI gateway facilities to high-volume facilities.
• Lead the Operations-based Product Lifecycle (PLC) commitments for all assigned programs. Ensure deliverables into and out of Operations are in place prior to gate approval
• Lead the Operations team in planning and executing NPI builds and ensure readiness for volume production
• Manage all Operations-related NPI communications, upward and downward through the organization; escalate key issues and present options for resolution to the executive team

• Process study with DOI/Process Video & SOP readiness

• BOM Awareness
• Responsible to provide the Training to Line operators for NPI project during NPI Build
• Expertise for Line setup & readiness for NPI project
• Strong team work & coordination skill
• Drive the 4M readiness in respective the NPI build
• Risk analysis skill
• Expertise in Failure analysis and improvement actions.
• Managing day to day floor activity for smooth NPI execution
• Strong Follow-up & execution skill
