The Head of Training will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive training and development programs for employees at all levels across the organization. The role is critical in ensuring that all employees have the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Create and implement training programs to address company-wide needs, including leadership development, technical skills training, soft skills, compliance, and e-commerce specific competencies.
- Collaborate with senior management to assess the company's talent development needs and create targeted solutions.
- Identify gaps in employee skills and knowledge and provide solutions to close them.
Training Program Development & Delivery:
- Design and lead the delivery of both in-person and virtual training sessions.
- Oversee the development of custom training materials, content, and resources for various roles and departments.
- Manage the implementation of learning management systems (LMS) to ensure streamlined access to training materials and track progress.
- Ensure training programs are engaging, interactive, and measurable, with a focus on driving business outcomes.
Leadership Development:
- Drive leadership development initiatives to build a strong pipeline of leaders within the company.
- Design programs to identify and nurture high-potential employees for future leadership roles, with a focus on performance management, decision-making, and strategic thinking.
- Work closely with managers to provide coaching and support for their leadership development.
Employee Engagement & Performance:
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and performance excellence.
- Design programs to boost employee engagement and improve retention rates through professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with HR teams to link training programs with performance management systems, ensuring that learning translates into measurable improvements in employee performance.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to employee training and development, such as completion rates, retention rates, and employee satisfaction.
Vendor Management & Budgeting:
- Oversee the selection and management of external training vendors and consultants as needed.
- Manage the training budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently for maximum impact.
Compliance & Regulatory Training:
- Ensure training programs comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, particularly related to labor laws, e-commerce regulations, data privacy, and workplace safety.
- Regularly update training materials to reflect any changes in regulations or best practices.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals focused on training and development, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment within the HR training team.
