Job Summary:
The Head of Human Resources (HR) will lead the HR function for a dynamic service industry organization. The individual will oversee the development and execution of HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business objectives. This role is integral in shaping the company culture, improving employee engagement, driving performance management, and managing talent acquisition, training, and development efforts to ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains top-tier talent in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support business goals and enhance organizational performance.
- Partner with senior leadership to foster a high-performance culture, improve employee engagement, and drive employee satisfaction.
- Lead and execute HR programs in alignment with business priorities and continuously monitor industry trends and best practices
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Oversee the talent acquisition process, ensuring recruitment strategies attract the right candidates, especially for critical roles within the service industry.
- Develop and maintain a robust talent pipeline, ensuring that staffing needs are met while keeping an eye on workforce planning.
- Create a strategy to retain top talent and reduce employee turnover through engagement, development, and performance management initiatives.
Employee Development and Training:
- Implement and manage employee development programs, including leadership development, skills training, and career progression.
- Establish learning frameworks that align with the organization's goals and create a continuous improvement environment.
- Promote and encourage a culture of lifelong learning and development within the organization.
Performance Management:
- Drive a comprehensive performance management system that includes goal setting, feedback, appraisals, and talent assessments.
- Collaborate with managers to ensure regular performance reviews, as well as the development and tracking of employee goals.
- Address performance issues proactively and provide coaching to managers to improve team effectiveness.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee the development and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure compensation structures are aligned with industry standards and organizational capabilities.
- Regularly evaluate benefits offerings to ensure they meet employee needs and are cost-effective for the business.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Lead employee relations efforts to foster a positive work environment and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Advocate for employee engagement, ensuring that employees are motivated and feel valued in their roles.
- Monitor employee feedback, conduct surveys, and facilitate open forums to maintain strong communication and trust.
Compliance and HR Policies:
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws, regulations, and industry standards in all HR practices.
- Review and update HR policies and procedures regularly, ensuring they are fair, consistent, and in line with company objectives.
- Maintain and update HR systems to support efficient operations and ensure the accuracy of employee data.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and develop the HR team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high levels of performance and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment within the HR team and the broader organization.
- Lead by example, setting a tone of professionalism, integrity, and respect within the HR function.
