Job Description

The purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data, to lead and enhance the quality of the Purchase to Pay (PTP) processes conducted at the SSC Chennai, and to coordinate and ensure the continuity of exceptional service delivery for all stakeholders.

Your tasks:

Lead and manage a comprehensive range of PTP accounting activities in daily operations, like from Invoice receipt to payment preparation.
Ensure the high-quality and timely delivery of data for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the supported group companies under the prescribed guidelines and accounting standards.
Analysis and follow-up on the closure of any open items and maintenance of the period end and year-end closing schedules for the entities/countries in scope.
Work in collaboration with functional teams to ensure all controls (ICS/CRISP) are performed, assessed, closed, and remediated in timely manner.
Identify and implement any process improvement including effectiveness of existing policies and propose enhancements when necessary.
Support new activities transition.
Responsible for dealing with external/statutory auditors as and when required.

Periodically review manpower needs and back-up plans for PTP team to ensure seamless delivery to business partners.
Back-up & support team members as and when needed, showing monitoring abilities as well as management and motivation of the team members.
Identify and align training needs as well as provide on the job needed hard and soft skills.
Prepare, manage, and sustain supervisory and quality review / verification of process SOPs.
Manage team performance, provide guidance and support when required, including regular feedback sessions with the team on performance and targets
Pro-active Management and reporting of relevant KPIs
Report on team efficiency management to the Center Lead.
Drive and participate in professional projects, including digitization and automation initiatives.
Quality checks
Ensure Lease/LEAP Register maintenance is as per the DHL Group Policy and Systems.
SPOC for all portfolio related-related PTP issues for Business Division.
Ad-hoc reporting

Management Responsibility

Lead and manage the PTP Team in Chennai, ensuring high performance and professional development.
Provide guidance and training to the Accounts Payable Team to ensure high performance and professional development.

Your profile:

Education Level

Bachelor s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience/qualification. Professional Certification in Accounting/Finance is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including the ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights, are required.
Adaptability and a willingness to learn, especially in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Experience Level

Minimum 4 years of PTP experience in a large MNC, with at least 2 years in supervisory or management role.
Experience in manage and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the finance department.
Proficient in SAP S4 Hana.
Demonstrate strong teamwork by actively engaging with team members, sharing knowledge, and providing support where necessary.
Experience in directly supervising a substantial team of 4 or more members within the cluster or country.
