Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Lead to spearhead our Payments Approval Quality team. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and timely processing of payments, while leading and mentoring a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of payments specialists, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize the payments approval process for efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee the approval of payments, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and company guidelines.
Manage payment exceptions and discrepancies, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of payments data.
Analyse payments data and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare reports on payments activity and performance metrics.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (accounts payable, finance) and external vendors/suppliers.
Stay up to date on industry regulations and best practices for payments processing.
Skills Qualifications:
Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of motivating, coaching, and developing a high-performing team.
In-depth understanding of payments processing procedures, regulations, and risk management principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong decision-making abilities
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and relevant accounting/payments software (mention specific software used by your company if applicable)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
