Automation Test Consultant - Java/Selenium (5-7 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Automation Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust test automation frameworks and solutions. You will work closely with development and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This position requires a strong background in test automation, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and guide others.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient test automation frameworks using Selenium with Java.

- Select and implement appropriate testing tools and technologies.

- Develop and maintain test scripts, libraries, and utilities.

- Ensure the automation framework is robust, maintainable, and reusable.

- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for automated testing.

- Define test scope, objectives, and timelines.

- Estimate testing efforts and resource requirements.

- Identify and mitigate risks associated with test automation.

- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.

- Generate detailed test reports and metrics.

- Identify and report defects and track them to resolution.

- Continuously improve test coverage and efficiency.

- Develop and execute SQL queries for database testing.

- Validate data integrity and consistency.

- Perform database performance testing.

- Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

- Mentor, coach, guide, and train team members on test automation best practices.

- Conduct training sessions and workshops.

- Share knowledge and expertise with the team.

- Continuously evaluate and improve test automation processes and methodologies.

- Identify and implement best practices for test automation.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements :

Education : Bachelor's degree in any specialization (B.Tech/B.E.).

Experience : Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium with Java.

Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Selenium with Java.

- Sound knowledge of databases and SQL.

- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile).

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
