Senior Automation Test Engineer - Selenium/UFT

Job Description :

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer with a strong foundation in Selenium/UFT and a proven track record of success in delivering high-quality software. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and results-oriented individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive and maintainable automation test scripts using Selenium/UFT and Java/VBScript.

- Develop and maintain test frameworks, including data-driven and keyword-driven frameworks.

- Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to enable continuous testing.

- Perform API testing using tools like SoapUI/Rest Assured and Groovy scripting.

- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and test data preparation.

- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and identify testing scope.

- Analyze test results, identify and report defects, and track them to resolution.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to release.

- Stay abreast of the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.

- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on automation best practices.

Qualifications :

Total Years of Experience :

- 4+ years in software testing

- 4+ years in UFT/Selenium automation testing

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Selenium with Java/UFT and VBScript

- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins

- Experience with API testing tools like SoapUI/Rest Assured and Groovy scripting

- Proficiency in Jira for test case management, execution, and defect tracking

Desired Skills :

- Experience with API testing frameworks (e.g., Rest Assured) SQL knowledge for data validation and test data preparation

- Experience in Agile development methodologies

- Experience in testing web services (REST, SOAP)

Domain Experience : Experience in the Insurance domain is preferred
