AWS Cloud Engineer - IT Automation (5-15 yrs)

Role Overview :

As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing cloud-based solutions to ensure superior performance, security, and scalability. This role involves deploying and maintaining AWS services, troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, and enhancing applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient operations while leveraging automation and monitoring tools to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Responsibilities :

- Evaluate and recommend AWS services to improve performance, scalability, and cost optimization.

- Design and implement secure cloud architectures, adhering to industry best practices.

Operational Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Elastic Container Service (ECS), and API Gateway.

- Automate infrastructure deployment using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

- Monitor cloud applications and infrastructure using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Dynatrace, New Relic, or equivalent platforms.

- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application support issues, including platforms like Tomcat or similar application servers.

- Implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure seamless business continuity.

Collaborative Responsibilities :

- Work closely with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD processes and enhance deployment efficiency.

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure and optimized application performance.

Preferred Skills :

- Cloud Expertise : Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, CloudFront, ECS, and API Gateway.

- Automation : Hands-on experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.

- Monitoring : Familiarity with tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, or other equivalent monitoring platforms.

- Application Support : Proven expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing application-level issues, particularly with Java-based platforms like Tomcat.

- Networking Knowledge : Strong understanding of load balancers, VPC endpoints, and network configurations in cloud environments.

- Security : In-depth knowledge of IAM policies and AWS security best practices.
