Position Summary The Night Auditor ensures the accurate reconciliation of daily transactions, maintains financial records, and provides excellent customer service during night shifts. This role bridges the operations and financial aspects of the resort, ensuring smooth transitions between shifts and maintaining the integrity of the accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Financial Reconciliation: 1. Perform nightly audits of the day s financial transactions, including cash, credit cards, and other revenue streams. 2. Reconcile revenue postings with front office, food and beverage, and other departments. 3. Generate and review daily financial reports, highlighting any discrepancies for management attention. Guest Services: 4. Handle guest inquiries and provide assistance with billing or account-related issues during night hours. 5. Process check-ins, check-outs, and reservations as required during late hours. 6. Address and resolve any complaints, escalating to appropriate personnel if needed. Compliance and Reporting: 7. Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and procedures. 8. Prepare end-of-day reports for submission to the Accounts and Finance team. 9. Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial summaries as required. Operations Support: 10. Coordinate with night shift staff across departments to ensure smooth operations. 11. Monitor and maintain accurate records for petty cash and operational expenses during the shift. 12. Identify and report any operational or security concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications and Skills: 1. Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar accounting/hospitality role is preferred. 3. Proficiency in financial software and hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, IDS, or similar). 4. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. 5. Ability to work independently during night shifts and handle high-pressure situations. 6. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus). 7. Familiarity with accounting principles, reconciliation techniques, and financial reporting.
