Special Educator

Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs):
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student strengths, weaknesses, and areas for growth.
Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and other professionals (e.g., therapists, counselors) to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student's unique needs.
Monitor student progress and adjust IEPs as needed.
Provide Direct Instruction and Support:
Deliver specialized instruction in areas such as reading, writing, math, communication, social-emotional skills, and life skills.
Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including differentiated instruction, assistive technology, and behavior management strategies.
Provide individual and small group instruction to students with diverse needs.
Support students in inclusive classroom settings, providing assistance and modifications as required.
Create and Maintain a Supportive Learning Environment:
Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and growth.
Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
Collaborate with parents and families to provide support and guidance on effective parenting and home-based learning strategies.
Professional Development:
Stay current on best practices in special education through professional development activities, workshops, and conferences.

Qualification - Graduate / Post Graduate with B.Ed Special Education with 3 plus years of experience.
