Structural Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil and Structural Design Engineer to join our dynamic team, specializing in Metro Rail Projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of civil and structural components for metro rail systems, ensuring they meet safety, functionality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development

Lead design and development of metro infrastructure elements (depots, stations, viaducts, etc.).

Produce detailed designs and drawings using AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, and SAP2000.

Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards.

Prepare As-Built and GFC drawings, engineering solutions for utilities, and review shop drawings.

• Structural Analysis

Perform structural analysis and calculations for foundations, superstructures, and retaining walls.

• Collaboration & Coordination

Work with multidisciplinary teams (architects, MEP engineers, etc.) for project integration.

Coordinate with stakeholders and regulatory bodies to meet codes and safety standards.

• Site Visits & Inspections

Conduct site inspections and ensure design implementation during construction.

Resolve design issues on-site.

• Project Management Support

Assist with planning, scheduling, cost estimation, risk analysis, and procurement.

Prepare variation orders, extension letters, and BOQ changes.

• Sustainability & Innovation

Implement sustainable design practices and ensure cost-effective, durable solutions.

• Documentation & Reporting

Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and correspondence for stakeholders.

• Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legal regulations.

Monitor QA/QC procedures throughout the project.

Requirements:

• Education: Masters/Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural design for metro rail, urban transit, or large infrastructure projects. Experience with metro rail systems is highly preferred.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Midas civil, Revit, and MS Office Suite. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) is a plus.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural analysis, design principles, and local/international design codes (e.g., Euro codes, AISC, IS codes).

• Ability to work in fast-paced, challenging environments and manage tight project deadlines.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time office-based with occasional site visits.
• Flexibility in work hours may be required depending on project deadline
• Opportunity to travel for project-related tasks.

Desired Candidate skills:

• Experience – 5 years to 10 years.
• B.Tech or M.Tech in Civil.
• Skills – Structural Design

Timing – 9:30am to 6:00pm

Working Days – Monday to Saturday
