02 to 03 Years in Urban Transport planning
JOB DESCRIPTION
Urban and Regional Transport Planning Expertise:
Possess experience in urban and regional transport planning, focusing on transportation systems, infrastructure, and mobility solutions.
Traffic Data Collection & Analysis:
Lead and manage traffic data collection efforts (manual and automated) and analyze traffic flow, volume, speed, and other essential metrics.
Demand Forecasting:
Conduct demand forecasting studies to predict future transportation needs, considering population growth, urban development, and other influencing factors.
Traffic Management Planning:
Develop traffic management plans to optimize traffic flow, reduce congestion, and improve safety and efficiency in urban and regional areas.
Public Transport Planning & Operations:
Plan and evaluate public transport systems, including routes, schedules, operations, and performance metrics, to ensure an efficient and accessible service.
Feasibility Reports Preparation:
Prepare feasibility reports to assess the practicality, costs, and benefits of proposed transportation projects, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Detailed Project Reports (DPR):
Develop detailed project reports (DPRs) outlining project objectives, methodologies, timelines, and estimated budgets for transportation planning projects.
Stakeholder Consultation & Engagement:
Facilitate stakeholder consultations, including local authorities, transport agencies, and community members, to ensure inclusivity and gather feedback for project refinement.
Proficiency in Transport Demand Modelling Software:
Demonstrated expertise in transport demand modelling software such as VISSIM, VISUM, Cube Voyager, or similar platforms (preferred but not mandatory).
Report Writing:
Strong report writing skills, capable of producing clear, well-organized, and accurate technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
Proficiency in MS Office:
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point to prepare documents, data analysis, and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
