Design Manager

Role Overview

The Design Manager will oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring that all projects align with the studio's vision, meet client expectations, and are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a balance of creative vision, project management, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: Lead the design team in developing creative concepts that align with client requirements and studio standards.

• Project Management: Oversee all phases of the design process, including conceptualization, space planning, material selection, and final implementation.

• Client Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is understood and realized.

• Team Development: Mentor and manage the design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

• Quality Assurance: Review and approve design deliverables to maintain quality and brand consistency.

• Vendor Coordination: Work closely with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are adhered to.

• Budget Management: Prepare project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial goals are met.

• Trend Analysis: Stay updated on design trends, materials, and technologies to keep the studio's work fresh and relevant.

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 8-12 years in interior design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, or similar tools.

• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Client Management: Proven experience in managing high-profile clients and delivering on their expectations.

• Portfolio: A robust portfolio showcasing diverse and innovative projects.
