Assistant General Manager - Commercial

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Chem/Mech) & MBA (Any Specialization).

Experience: 18+ Years

 Location: Kota, Rajasthan, Township facilities available, subject to availability of houses. Basic quarter deductions will apply.
Job Responsibilities:

1. Approval and monitoring of all Price increase or decrease and update various internal stakeholders on the same.

2. Evaluate and monitor performance of existing suppliers and to take corrective action as required to consolidate supply base to best performing suppliers.

3. Ensure the early involvement and participation of purchasing functions with teams for new product development, cost savings, inventory reduction, process improvement etc. with committed on time in full execution.

4. Use IT tools to the fullest extent to improve competitiveness in the buying and supply chain process.

5. Monitor and control all store related day to day working.

6. Physical verification of Inventory at regular interval, warehouse management.

1. Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and execute commercial strategies that align with the company's long-term business objectives.
• Will be responsible for overall Commercial activities of the plant.
• Ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational need in terms of price, quality and delivery targets.
• Proactively engage with Functional heads on a continuous basis to seek inputs with a perspective of supporting functional and business needs in a better way.
2. Procurement and Supply Chain Management:
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring smooth flow of materials, goods, and services.
• Optimize inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and distribution networks to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Implement effective supply chain risk management strategies.
• Manage sourcing and procurement functions to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure favourable terms.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in procurement.
3. Financial Management:
• Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and financial performance for all commercial operations.
• Ensure cost efficiency across procurement, supply chain, and sales functions, driving profitability.
• Monitor and manage KPIs related to sales, procurement costs, and operational efficiency.
• Implement cost reduction method.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with production, R&D, quality assurance, and finance teams to align commercial objectives with broader business goals.
• Foster a collaborative environment across departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.
5. Vendor Development:

Develop contracts and manage win-win and healthy relationships with suppliers to provide a stable product supply, technical product knowledge and year over year cost reduction.

• Development of new suppliers, evaluating their credentials both technically as well as financially, negotiating rates as a cost saving initiatives and recommending to management for final approval.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 18+ years of experience in commercial roles & Atleast 05 Years as Head Commercial in any process plant, with a proven track record in supply chain, procurement and purchasing ideally in the textile or chemical industry.
• B.E./B.Tech (Chem/Mech) & MBA (Any Specialization).
• Certification in Supply Chain or equivalent is preferred.
• Good communication skills and the ability to make Presentations.
• Exhibit knowledge in Plant level customizations & MRP control in SAP MM Module.
• Have Strong knowledge of Capital Equipment, Project procurement and Project implementation from procurement perspective. 
• Have Techno-commercial knowledge of engineering products / GST / service charges etc.
• Solid grasp of SAP MM integrations with other modules (i. e. FI/CO, SD, PP etc.)
• Knowledge of Indian GST Rules.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to work independently, High energy, self-starter with proven track record in delivering results.
• Liaising with government agencies.
