Job Summary :

Seeking a skilled GCP Cloud Administrator to manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GCP services, cloud-native architectures, and system administration practices. This role involves implementing, optimizing, and maintaining cloud resources while ensuring performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities :

1. GCP Infrastructure Management :

- Design, configure, and manage GCP resources, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and more.

- Implement and manage virtual networks, firewalls, and other GCP networking components.

- Set up and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies.

2. Cloud Operations and Maintenance :

- Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and cost optimization using GCP tools.

- Troubleshoot issues across cloud-based and on-premise systems.

- Ensure regular patching, updates, and system maintenance.

3. Automation and Scripting :

- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.

- Automate recurring tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

4. Security and Compliance :

- Ensure adherence to security best practices, including data encryption, monitoring, and security incident response.

- Conduct regular audits of cloud resources to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory policies.

5. Collaboration and Support :

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and operations teams to support application deployment and system integration.

- Provide technical support to resolve cloud-related issues and assist teams with cloud resource usage.

6. Cost Optimization :

- Monitor and analyze GCP billing to identify and implement cost-saving measures.

- Advise teams on the efficient use of GCP resources to minimize costs.

Experience :

- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud administration with a focus on GCP.

- Strong understanding of GCP services like Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.

- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications is a plus.

Skills :

- Experience in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or GCP Deployment Manager.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).

- Solid knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, Subnets, VPC).

- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools

Certifications (Preferred) :

- Google Cloud Certified - Associate Cloud Engineer.

- Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect.
