Data Engineer - Google Cloud Platform (5-10 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform.

- Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure cloud solutions align with project requirements.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of resources.

- Utilize a broad range of GCP services, such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub, Cloud Build, to build efficient and resilient systems.

- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and testing processes.

- Source code management.

- Implement and adhere to security best practices for cloud environments.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

- Implement monitoring solutions and performance optimization strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of cloud-based applications.

- Provide support for cloud-related issues and participate in on-call rotation schedules.

- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents to maintain system availability.

- Should be able to guide the team technically and be proactive in providing the inputs to prevent failures.

- Performs root cause analysis and guides the team to resolve frequently recurring issues.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, configurations, and procedures.

- Should be well versed with Atlassian suite such as confluence.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to achieve project goals.

- Provides routine updates to the leadership team and other stakeholders.

Requirements :

- Good design skills.

- Working knowledge of DBT, Git, Python, and Terraform is mandatory.

- Knowledge of Code Fresh and Git hub.

- Good understanding and exposure to confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, and bamboo tools.

- Knowledge of Devops CI/CD.

- Should have a good understanding and exposure to agile delivery.

- Should have sound knowledge of Git CLI commands.
